How does dealcode find my profile?

dealcode discovers publicly accessible profiles in the same way as major search engines like Google or Bing. If you search for your name and your company on Google, the process is essentially identical: the search engine scans publicly accessible pages where your profile information appears. If you do not want to be found via dealcode or any other search engine, you can adjust the visibility settings directly in your personal profile on the respective platforms. How can I adjust the visibility of my LinkedIn profile?

Here is a guide on how to configure the visibility of your LinkedIn profile:

Configure public profile information - Choose which sections of your LinkedIn profile are visible to search engines.
Profile visibility off LinkedIn - Control whether your LinkedIn profile is shown on approved services like Outlook.
Email-based discoverability - Manage whether people can find your LinkedIn profile using your email address.
Phone number-based discoverability - Decide whether your phone number can be used to find your LinkedIn profile.

❗ Important to know: Changes you make on LinkedIn can take a few weeks or months to update in public search engines like dealcode, Google, or Bing. Disabling public profile visibility may also affect other search options for your profile on LinkedIn.
